Role Responsibilities
Evaluate our existing computer and network setup
Provide network, server, laptop, and mobile device support to staff
Establish standard laptop and mobile device configurations
Configure, monitor, and maintain virtual machines and associated hardware
Procure computer-related devices, software, and supplies
Install new and upgrade existing hardware and software
Monitor backups and perform backup audits
Maintain network security and perform security audits
Identify, analyze, and report on key computer system metrics
Troubleshoot IT-related issues and fortify system to prevent recurrence
Develop documentation for user and administration tasks and configurations
Track hardware and software assets
Research, propose, and implement system improvements and best practices
Improve the efficiency of the company through education and automation scripts
Participate in the selection and implementation of business intelligence solutions
Keep up-to-date on new technologies, discern applicability, and educate management

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, ​or a related field
Strong understanding of information technology, including networking and computer systems
Programming fluency in Python, Bash, and Powershell
Knowledge of and experience with Linux, Windows, macOS, and Android
Familiarity with firewalls, wi-fi, VMware, and cloud computing services
Hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting enterprise software, networks, servers, laptops, and peripherals
Able to interact and communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical team leaders
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Optional Qualifications
Experience with financial accounting systems
Programming experience in C, C++, Django, Javascript, and/or Node.js
Understanding of relational databases
Advanced Google Sheet or MS Excel skills
Interest in aviation, robotics, and automation
